SOS Children's Villages

The association SOS Children's Villages Bulgaria is the first civil rights organization in the country that provides direct care for at-risk children – care in an SOS family. It is part of the large international family SOS Children’s Villages International, which cares for nearly 2,500,000 children in 137 countries around the world. In Bulgaria, for more than a quarter of a century, SOS Children's Villages Bulgaria has been providing a family-like environment and a healthy setting for the development and growth of children deprived of parental care or at risk of losing their parents' protection.

Since its inception, the association has been following and actively advocating for the rights of children and youth.

Children Need Your Support

SOS Children’s Villages International is a global federation consisting of national SOS associations.

We all share one vision: Every child has a family and grows up in an environment of love, respect, and security.

In a family environment, every child feels protected, experiences a sense of belonging, builds their values, shares responsibilities, and forms lifelong connections. In the family, they learn to love, build their confidence, and the ability to realize their potential for the future. They learn respect and consideration, morality and principles, and how to make important decisions and understand the impact of those decisions. The family environment provides them with a solid and secure foundation to build their life upon.

Only in a healthy family environment do children feel protected from abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and are shielded during natural disasters and war. Children receive shelter, food, medical care, and education. Only with these factors can we ensure the stable development of all children.

We at TED BED EAD support SOS Children’s Villages and families at risk. We hope that with our help and that of individual donors, institutional and corporate partners, we can prevent the separation of children from their biological parents and support the care of children who have already lost their parents' protection.
